How Export Buyers Specify a Wenzhou Pump and Valve Package
WanGuan Application Team
A field checklist for Europe, Middle East, and Southeast Asia buyers who source WanGuan pumps and valves as one package from Wenzhou.
Buy the system, not a pile of photos
The WanGuan catalog is organised as pumps and valves because that is how factories store parts. Plants do not run that way. A cooling loop needs a centrifugal pump, isolation butterflies, a check valve, and often a control valve. A lube-oil skid needs a triple screw pump, ball valves, a relief valve, and a strainer. If the RFQ lists only a pump model copied from a photograph, the valves arrive later with the wrong face-to-face and the wrong drilling.
This article is the covering note we wish every first-time export buyer attached. It does not replace the product pages. It tells you which pages to open together.
Duty data that actually gets used
For every pump line, write liquid, temperature, density or viscosity, flow, suction condition, discharge pressure, and hours per day. For every valve line, write medium, pressure, temperature, size, function (isolate, modulate, relieve, check, trap), and actuation. Flange standard is not optional: PN16 and ASME 150 are not mixed in one gasket kit without pain.
Site voltage, frequency, ambient temperature, and hazardous-area need belong on the same sheet. Middle East outdoor skids fail on heat and dust more often than on hydraulic design. European indoor plant rooms fail on documentation and motor efficiency paperwork. Put the destination on the RFQ so the quotation language matches the inspector, not the factory tour.
Pairing examples from this catalog
Clean water transfer: horizontal centrifugal pump, lug butterfly isolation, spring check on the discharge, electric control valve if the loop modulates. Oil transfer: triple screw pump, flanged ball isolation, spring safety or thermal relief where blocked-in liquid can expand, and no resilient-seat butterfly unless the seat is rated for the oil.
Steam utility: globe or gate isolation, flanged PRV, spring safety on the low side, ball float traps on the drip legs, check valves on the condensate lift. Vacuum process: dry screw vacuum pump with inlet isolation and exhaust piping that is not treated like a water discharge. Dosing inside a machine: micro solenoid plunger pump with its own filter, not a DN25 globe from the utility list.
Documents, inspection, and what not to claim
WanGuan operates as a Wenzhou manufacturer serving export buyers. Factory quality is organised under ISO 9001 practice, and CE-related files are discussed per product and destination. That is not the same as stamping every small OEM pump with a full PED module. Ask for the file that the notified body or the customer inspector will actually read: drawing, curve, material list, IOM, packing list, and where applicable a set-pressure record for safety valves.
Third-party inspection at the factory is possible when the PO says so. Witness points should be named: hydrostatic test, performance test, coating DFT, and serial-number punch. Photos of the finished crate with the packing list inside the pouch save a week of emails after the vessel sails.
How to send the first inquiry
Use the product names exactly as they appear on the WanGuan site so the team opens the same photograph you opened. Attach the duty sheet and, if you have it, a one-page P&ID. Markets we quote most often are Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia; other destinations are possible when the documents are named.
The goal of this demo catalog is to show a complete, coherent package: rotodynamic and positive displacement pumps, specialty units, isolation valves, an electric control valve, and automatic protection valves. If a line item is missing from that list, say what duty is uncovered rather than forcing an existing photo to pretend. The export desk would rather add a note than ship a mismatch.
